Vantage Geophysical and Ikon Supports GSH E-Waste Collection Effort

ree

Vantage Geophysical once again demonstrated its commitment to community service and environmental stewardship by volunteering at the Geophysical Society of Houston’s E-waste collection. Their team played a vital role in helping geophysicists, industry professionals, and local companies responsibly dispose of outdated or unused electronic equipment—keeping harmful materials out of landfills while supporting a meaningful cause.

This year’s collection also benefited greatly from the generous E-waste donation provided by IKON Science. Their contribution underscores the importance of industry participation in sustainable practices, and the GSH extends its sincere thanks for their support.

As a nonprofit 501(c)(3), the GSH relies on dedicated volunteers and supportive partners like Vantage Geophysical and IKON Science to carry out programs that benefit both the geoscience community and the environment. Proper handling of E-waste not only preserves our natural resources but also encourages responsible practices across the energy and geophysical sectors.

All proceeds from the event support the GSH Museum, one of only three museums in the world dedicated solely to geophysical instruments and technology. The museum houses rare and historic equipment dating back to 1918, preserving the legacy of exploration geophysics for future generations.

The GSH extends its sincere gratitude to Vantage Geophysical, IKON Science, and the volunteers; their service reflects the spirit of collaboration, education, and environmental care that defines our society.

Anyone wishing to donate additional E-waste may do so Monday through Thursday at the GSH Office, 1790 W. Sam Houston Pkwy N, Houston, Texas 77042. For questions, please contact Rene Mott at queenmio@att.net.
