In Memoriam: Mike Graul (1934–2026)
Mike Graul passed away in January 2026 and will be deeply missed by the geophysical community - worldwide.
Mike Graul devoted more than 60+ years to the advancement of geophysics through industry leadership, education, research, and extraordinary service to professional societies. After earning his BS in Geophysics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1957, he began his career at Chevron Corporation, where he spent 23 years working across every facet of exploration geophysics.

2025 Past-Presidents Luncheon
On September 19, the annual GSH Past Presidents’ Luncheon brought together the current GSH president René Mott, president-elect Rob Stewart, and 15 past presidents for an afternoon of reflection and forward thinking.
